Breastmilk jewelry is simply that - jewelry created using your own milk. Your milk undergoes a careful preservation process and then is mixed with a high quality, jewelry grade resin to create your keepsake stone. From there, we set your stone(s) in a handmade design of your choice.

• Always remove your breastmilk jewelry before showering, swimming, doing the dishes or any other prolonged exposure to water. Water, heat and chlorine will effect your stone.

• Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. Too much UV exposure will change and damage your stone over time.

• Ensure all lotions, perfumes, hair products etc are well absorbed before putting your keepsake on. 

• Avoid any contact harsh chemicals, essential oils, cleaning supplies etc. Always remove your piece before using any of these items.

• Like all jewelry, over time they will start to lose their shine and begin to tarnish. Clean your piece with a soft polishing cloth to bring it back to its original state.

• Store in a soft lined bag or box and always ensure it is fully dry before storing.

Part of the magic of milk preservation is keeping our process a secret, but what we can tell you is that before we set your stone in resin, our method is 100% organic.

Thankfully, no. Unlike cow's milk, human breastmilk has a long shelf life outside the fridge.
Once your milk arrives, we place it in order in our freezer to wait until we are ready to create your stone(s)

You can ship us whatever you’d like! Fresh or frozen, they will have the same results. You can even ship us that 5 year old bag of milk you forgot you had stored at the back of your freezer. 

We require 15ml (half an ounce) of your milk in order to confidently preserve it.

It may be up to 10 weeks to process your milk and create your piece after your milk arrives to us. You will receive an email confirming that your milk has made it and will be created in the order in which it arrives.

Given the bespoke and handmade nature of these items, tiny nuances and “flaws" are all a part of it. We try our best to ensure premium quality with each piece we create.

Unfortunately no. Each piece takes weeks to create, so please ensure you are truly committed to owning your keepsake. 
However, if your piece is defective do to a manufacturing error at Ebb+Flow, we are happy to take the piece back and have our team examine your piece. These situations will be navigated on a case by case situation.

If your ring has arrived damaged, please contact us immediately and we will do everything in our power to fix your piece.
However, if damage is a result of improper care of your piece according to care instructions from Ebb+ Flow, we cannot offer repairs without a charge. This will be determined on a case by case basis.

It is imperative that you know you know your ring size before ordering. We cannot resize. If you do not know your ring size, please stop by your local jewelry store to be professionally sized before placing your order.

Here at Ebb+Flow, we create your entire pieces from start to finish. Most breast milk keepsake jewelry companies outsource their metal work, which is great! However we feel it’s important for us to create all our own pieces so that we are confident that you are getting the best quality piece we can offer, since jewelry design is at the core of what we do.

Once preserved, we will store your milk to allow for future orders. If you prefer, we can also safely dispose of it at your request.
