Since it’s inception, Ebb+Flow has found inspiration in the sea, the sky, and the moon - aesthetics deeply rooted in the divine feminine. Our mission has long been to enhance the beauty of nature, and not mask it. It was with these values at our core that our long anticipated breastmilk keepsake collection, Earthside, was born. Each of the Earthside pieces is designed to frame the beauty of the mother’s milk by wrapping it in precious metals and adorning it with simple embellishments.
What is breastmilk jewelry?
Breastmilk jewelry is simply that - jewelry created using your own milk. Your milk undergoes a careful preservation process and then is mixed with a high quality, jewelry grade resin to create your keepsake stone. From there, we set your stone(s) in a handmade design of your choice.
How is it preserved?
Part of the magic of milk preservation is keeping our process a secret, but what we can tell you is that before we set your stone in resin, our method is 100% organic.
How do I ship my milk safely to Ebb+Flow?
Once you place your order, you will receive an email with your confirmation number.
Please have your milk double bagged and CLEARLY LABELED with your full name and confirmation number.
Please ship in a padded bubble mailer, available at all Canada Post locations.
Where do I ship my milk to?
Please send your milk to us at:
Ebb + Flow
PO BOX 44221
Will my milk go bad during shipment?
Thankfully, no. Unlike cow's milk, human breastmilk has a long shelf life outside the fridge.
Once your milk arrives, we place it in order in our freezer to wait until we are ready to create your stone(s)
Does my milk need to be fresh?
You can ship us whatever you’d like! Fresh or frozen, they will have the same results. You can even ship us that 5 year old bag of milk you forgot you had stored at the back of your freezer.
How much milk do you need?
We require 15ml (half an ounce) of your milk in order to confidently preserve it.
How long will my order take to arrive?
It may be up to 10 weeks to process your milk and create your piece after your milk arrives to us. You will receive an email confirming that your milk has made it and will be created in the order in which it arrives.
Will my keepsake look the same as the one pictured on the website?
Given the bespoke and handmade nature of these items, tiny nuances and “flaws" are all a part of it. We try our best to ensure premium quality with each piece we create.
Do you offer refunds?
Unfortunately no. Each piece takes up to a week to create, so please ensure you are truly committed to owning your keepsake.
However, if your piece is defective do to a manufacturing error at Ebb+Flow, we are happy to take the piece back and have our team examine your piece. These situations will be navigated on a case by case situation.
Do you offer repairs?
If your ring has arrived damaged, please contact us immediately and we will do everything in our power to fix your piece.
However, if damage is a result of improper care of your piece according to care instructions from Ebb+ Flow, we cannot offer repairs without a charge. This will be determined on a case by case basis.
Do you resize?
It is imperative that you know you know your ring size before ordering. We cannot resize. If you do not know your ring size, please stop by your local jewelry store to be professionally sized before placing your order.
Do you make the jewelry?
Here at Ebb+Flow, we create your entire pieces from start to finish. Most breast milk keepsake jewelry companies outsource their metal work, which is great! However we feel it’s important for us to create all our own pieces so that we are confident that you are getting the best quality piece we can offer, since jewelry design is at the core of what we do.
What do you do with my leftover milk?
Once preserved, we will keep your milk for 3 months in our filing system if you want to re order. After 3 months, your milk will be safely disposed of by our team.
I’m local to Victoria, can I drop off/pickup?
Unfortunately we do not offer local pick up or drop off of your milk at this time. Our system of order numbers works best if all milk comes to our PO box and can be sorted from there - this ensures our process is streamlined.
Can I send you other biological inclusions? (ie. ash, hair, placenta etc)
At this time, Ebb+Flow only offers breast milk preservation services.
Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee delivery of your keepsake before December 25th. However, milk we receive prior to November 10th is much more likely to arrive back to you on time.
Please be mindful we are a small team and are working hard to create each piece by hand in our studio, and that each piece is handcrafted from start to finish by our team at Ebb + Flow. The process to create your piece takes time and, as such, Earthside pieces may take as many as 10 weeks from the date of order to ship..
We ask that you do not email us to inquire as to when your order will be shipped. As much as we wish we could take the time to answer every Earthside customer individually, our team is incredibly busy creating each piece. You will receive an email notification with your tracking number once your order has shipped.
Ebb + Flow guarantees that your Earthside piece is created with your milk contribution.
Ebb and Flow assumes no responsibility if full terms and conditions and breastmilk stone care instructions have not been read properly. All our information is here for you to receive the best service and product we can provide and that your Earthside piece lives the longest life possible.
Due to the personal nature of Earthside pieces, we have a no refund/exchange policy in cases of damage due to improper care. Orders may be cancelled within 48 hours of original purchase and will be refunded less 20%. If you are unsatisfied with your keepsake for any reason, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your package. These instances will be handled on a case-by-cases basis at the discretion of the Ebb and Flow designers.
Given the handmade nature of The Earthside Collection, no two pieces will be identical. While we strive to perfect each piece, please expect nuances from those pictured online and know that tiny marks and flaws make your handcrafted piece unique to you.
